Mission Statement
I have been battling leukemia since November 2004. We know now with certainty that it is going to get me. I fought hard over these years, and I did what I had to do to survive even for this long. Finally, I have reached that point in my life where I can say, “I really did all I could, and it is okay to let go.” Peace in body and mind will be coming to me, and quite honestly, this is a glorious feeling.
The hard part here is leaving the people I love, and a painful sense that I am not quite finished with what it was I set out to do in this world. Sadly, there will never be enough time or words for this, it seems.
I am hoping that this website will be a place where I can continue to live on in some way. Here, you will be able to see what mattered to me, and where I found meaning and significance in the world. And most important, I am hoping that you will be able to see just how much I loved my family and friends. Indeed, as I say goodbye to my life, I now am in the position to fully realize that the giving and receiving of this love has been the most important thing I have ever done.
